Why Obama?

I had a friend over for dinner the other night and as the evening progressed the talk turned to politics. I asked our guest whom she voted for in the last Presidential election, and she said Obama. My next question was why. The answer started me she said two reasons.  One he is black and two that will improve our standing in the world. O.K. I am controlling myself when I ask who in the world are we trying to improve our standing with? Now here is the best part this women is educated and not taken by fads so when I said none of those reasons have anything to do with his qualifications to be our President her reply was still, we look more progressive to the world, besides he won the peace prize and that reflects on us. Look at all the new conflicts we are in since he took office.
